yes, I can follow that - a rather extreme one. Any clues to whether or not it is a described species?

Compare with Schizothecium squamulosum, a dung species that is known to occur on monocots too, Cheers, Eduard

Thanks. Obviously quite close but images available suggest something not nearly as densely squamulose. Have you seen material as extreme as the Danish material of S. squamulosum?

And the spores in this material are 30 % bigger than given by Lundqvist
