Apotecios hasta de 1 mm, amarillo-anaranjados, generalmente gregarios, planos o ligeramente cóncavos, con el margen bien definido creciendo en madera de Pistacia lentiscus. Esporas de (10,21) 11,05 - 12,53 (13,26) x (1,09) 1,22 - 1,64 (1,89) µm; Me = 11,78 x 1,43 µm ; Qe = 8,34, con una VB el un extremo, curvadas, ligeramente helicoidales. Paráfisis de ápice engrosado, con exudado por encima y gotitas de pigmentación en su interior.

Perdona Zotto anoche estaba ya casi dormido. Sí es en una plantación de olivos. En las plantaciones de olivos de sierra suelen haber pequeñas islas de otra vegetación, en este caso donde las cogí hay unas pocas plantas de Pistacia lentiscus. La ramita donde estaban estaba parcialmente descortezada y las Orbilias estaban sobre la corteza y en algunas zonas parcialmente descortezadas.
La fecha 05/04/2014 y herbario, JA-CUSSTA: 7926. Por cierto, en la mismas ramitas, sobre la corteza había también Orbilia aristata.

Dejo unas fotos. Las medidas de las ezporas son (16,98) 17,33 - 24,68 (24,71) x (2,17) 2,24 - 2,44 (2,49) µm; Me = 21,67 x 2,35 µm ; Qe = 9,24.

Oh yeah, this is a good example for how easy species are confused. This one is O. pseudoaristata, and it is not at all related to O. aristata! The spores remind a bit of O. flagellispora but the spore body is too short. The main difference lies in the absence of an apical thickening of the asci.
We put O. pseudoaristata in series Albovinosae of section Aurantiorubrae, not in section Hemiorbilia where O. aristata belongs. A sequence of one of our collections confirms this placement.
Your spore tails are extraordinarily long and a bit narrow. We have as maximum 16-19 µm long spores but also 13-15.
