Unidentified Loculoascomycete 1
Nina Filippova, 28-06-2014 05:38
This species is constantly met on different substrates of bog litter: Ledum, Chamaedaphne, Betula nana leaves.

Ombrotrophic bog, N60,891138° E68,687351°.

I did not tried to key out it, but hoping for your advise on a genus. This would help to place it in right place in my collection and send to a specialist for deeper study.

Perithecia globose, 200-300 mk in diameter, with visible pore, surrounded by long bent bristles, lower part with scarce brown hyphae descending to leaf surface.

Peridium from angular brown cells about 5-8 mk; asci fissitunicate, about 63 x 8 mk (not expanded); seta 50-100 mk long, about 5 mk broad at base; paraphysoid tissue presented by hyphoid 2 mk broad elements, sometimes branching; spores hyaline, 2-celled, with one cell some larger, with small scattered oils inside, 13.7 (12-15.4) x 5 (4.4-5.6) mk (n=24).

Hi Nina,

probably some Venturiaceae...

BTW, what's the host of your second Loculoascomycete?

Best wishes,
Gernot
