Hi to everybodyThese thiny, blackish pseudothecia
This Scutellinia was found at 3100 meters elevation. Came into the Cuajimoloyas fungus fair. Conifer wood.Spore sizes (measured from asci)
14 [15.9 ; 17.9] 19.8 x 9.5 [10.2 ; 10.9] 11.5 µm
Q = 1.4 [1.5 ; 1.7] 1.8 ; N = 9 ; C = 95%
Me = 16.9 x 10.5 µm ; Qe = 1.6
Hair sizes:
244.4 [380.2 ; 464] 599.9 × 21.5 [27.9 ; 31.8] 38.2 µm
Q = 7.1 [12.7 ; 16.2] 21.8 ; N = 18 ; C = 95%
Me = 422.1 × 29.8 µm ; Qe = 14.5
I have heard that there are several species of Scutellinia that are separated based on microscopic features. Is there enough info here to guess a species?
as our estimated friend and expert Beñat is unable to communicate at the moment I allow myself to answer on his behalf: No.
You might take a look into this page's section 'base de données' to find out more on interesting features of this genus.
Best regards,
Marcel
Did you measure the hairs?

Also in the scuty with short hairs < 500 µm, and elliptic shape, none with tuberculate spore...
We need pics of mature and colored spores in the CB or ink, to say more.
many thanks
