Hi!
I found this small setose fellow on a piece of bark from mid Norway. The pseudothecia are 0,25-0,4 mm in diameter, setae smooth light brown in the microscope 25-40 x 2,5 mym, asci clearly fissitunicate, pseudoparaphyses net-like, ascospores 3(-4)-septate, light-brown but outermost cell hyaline and with appendage, both the hyaline cell and the appendage falling off, whole spore measuring 24-30 x 9-10 mym, spores 4-8 per ascus.
Greatful for any ideas!
Björn
Mayby it is some species from genus Rebentischia (R. unicaudata).
With best regards,
Martin.
Hi Björn,
I don't think that this Rebentischia is associated with the lichen.
A vertical section could show it, if necessary.
I see another fungus on your photo, it's setose. What about it ? Perhaps a lichenicolous fungus there.
Alain
