Delitschia winteri
Joop van der Lee, 06-12-2014 22:49
Joop van der LeeFound on horse dung, unfortunally I have not been able to make a photo of the fruitbody yet. Too much dung sticking to the fruitbody but is has a long neck and a wide body.
Asci: 8-spored; extend in length and width as soon as they are in contact with water. Normal L/W measured is 400-500x44-49.5 um extending to 700-900x70-82 um. The apical dome at first is rounded changing to a flat top somewhat dented (photo 5-7) the cap is also good visible on photo-2
Spores: uniseriate; transversely septated; longitudinal to slightly oblique germ slit (photo-10); 68-82x30-38 um

Re : Delitschia chodocola?
The average measurent of mature spores is 77x36 um (measured at the transverse septation) Jacky. That's more than the spores of D. winteri. But I will look for more info especially a good fruitbody and asci before extending in water.
