Peter ThompsonHello Everyone,Happy New Year.I would be grateful
I found these yellow apothecia on a herbaceous stem. Have a diameter size of 350-700um.
Can be Cyathicula? I fail to establish the species.
I would appreciate your help.
Thank You.
Susana
your fungus is something that may not exist ....
The spores look like in C. coronata or Hym. menthae, the apical ring is of the Calycina type, very unlike those, the apothecia look like C. cyathoidea, and the contents of the paraphyses and the textura oblita support the genus Cyathicula.
I assume you did not see any crystals on the exterior?
No idea :-(

Do you have any idea about the host genus? Was it a wet area?
The sample was collected in the limit of meadow. I think it's grass growing between "zarzas" (Rubus ulmifolius) and "ortigas" (Urtica dioica). It is not a moist area.
The collection are from 12/24/14. The 26/12/14 I watched a apothecium at microscope, and the spores that I observed, had another gútulate pattern, perhaps more like C. paludosa. I attach annotations and a photo I did.
The previous photos were from yesterday and today.
Saludos
susana
