Yanick BOULANGERBonjourRécolté sur une brindille au fond d'un fo

I have this small (1-2 mm broad) Hymenoscyphus or Bryoscyphus in a dune environment on a unknown bryophyte.
Asci eight spores, slightly IKI+, with croziers, (113.3) 120.4 - 149.8 (164.9) x (8.4) 9.3 - 11.4 (12.3) µm; Me = 136.0 x 10.4 µm.
Spores slightly scutuloid with 2 more or less big LBs and some more small ones, (12.6) 13.4 - 15.6 (17.4) x (3.4) 3.8 - 4.4 (5.1) µm; Q = (2.8) 3.1 - 4.1 (5.1); Me = 14.7 x 4.1 µm ; Qe = 3.7.
Paraphysis straight plenty of small/medium VBs.
Ectal excipulum and stipite with textura prismatica.
Medullar excipulum with textura more or less intricata.
With my biblio I do not find any similar, more than Hymenoscyphus robustior, H. repandus, H. lutescens or Bryoscyphus dicrani, but the habitat is different.
Could you helpe me, please?
Thank you.

the moss looks like a Plagiomnium or close relative

I have several harvests from mosses in burned areas, they are similar to yours. I have no name to offer you.
J'ai plusieurs récoltes parmi les mousses en milieux brulés, elles ressemblent aux tiennes. Je n'ai pas de nom à te proposer.
Patrice

Yes, Patrice, very very similar to your collection. If you find a name in the future, please tell me.
Best wishes.

I know it well too, I have records since 2011. Always unnamed. JP Priou has studied it.
Mosses and hepatics substrates were : Hypnum cupressiforme, Pleurozium shreberi, Barbilophozia barbata.
In calcareous combs, alt. 350 m, no burnt ground.

Hi Miquel Angel,
Last time we met I think I gave you the SMMA bulletin N° 31 in which I gave a short description with pictures of a collection (MH 091212) also matching your description and Patrice's collection p. 54-55 Note complémentaire : récolte d'un Bryoscyphus indéterminé. I thought Enrique also collected it in Asturiana in January 2010.

I had the sensation to have seen this species published before, but I didn't remember where. Too much papers...Nowadays is more difficult to find anything not digitalized.
This night I will read the bulletin.
Many thanks.

I have nº 30 of SMMA Bulletin, do you have the paper in pdf?
Thank you.
