Orbilia from Portugal
Lothar Krieglsteiner, 11-05-2026 20:22
Lothar Krieglsteineron attached twig of standing Ficus carica

quite unspectacular apothecia without crenulate or whatever special margin, pale pink.
The spores are about 7-10/1-1,5 µm with well developed, roundish spore body with prolongation to the spore end, +- fusiform with two acute ends (more acute on the other thinner side), the thinner side with not very strong but clearly developed tail- they are mostly straight but sometimes the tail is bent to some extent.
The asci are quite truncate at dead state and measure up to 50(55) µm.
The paraphyses are strongly capitate and often thick-walled or encrusted, without prolongations.

I tried with Barals books to come to a result, but at last I failed.

Who can helpt?
Yours, Lothar
P.S. I still have living material.

Re : Orbilia from Portugal
Hallo Lothar
