Hello, I found this very small (ca 0,5mm) yellow
Sur Rubus

                    Camille Mertens,
                17-02-2016 16:26

Récolté sur Rubus fructicosus le 4 février 2016.
Diam. 0.5 mm.
Camille

                Dear Camille
The endless Calycina saga, and an interesting species that I do no know.
I think the "poils" are ascogenous hyphae.
Some Calycinas show such reddening indeed.
my C. subparilis is similar but has smaller spores and an IKI-red apical ring.
To see the ring-shape better you should take a photo of a dead ascus.
Is it from Belgium?

                Dear Zotto.
Vielen Dank fur ihrer Anwort.
The collection comes indeed from Belgium (South of Brussels).
How could I "kill" the ascus? Using Melzer?
Kind regards.

                Re : Sur Rubus
for example by stronger pressure on the cover slip, this is the easiest way. Or when you wait some minutes after adding Lugol. Also by drying the preparation and later adding water may kill the asci.

                Re : Sur Rubus
Yes, this is helpful, you see the ring and apical wall around is thicker, and the cytoplasm detached.
But with so large spores I know nothing.
