Orbilia on Rubus stem?
François Bartholomeeusen, 14-03-2016 21:09
Hi everyone,

On an old Rubus stem I found one apothecia with a diameter of 0.38 mm. Wet is was lens-shaped, when I covered it with the coverslip it splashed apart. So the texture was very soft:

asci: 30,18-43,92 x 3,56-4,93 µm;
paraphyse: sometimes branched with septa, constricted at the septa: 33,77-39,82 x 2,06-2,3 µm inflated top: 3,54-4,68 µm;
spores: oblong, with oil drop?, 3,66-6,32 x 2,13-3,33 µm
texture: angularis to globulosa cell diameter 8 to 12 µm

Sorry only one frb, witch orbilia can it be?

Thanks for your help.

Greetings,

François Bartholomeeusen

Re : Orbilia on Rubus stem?
Not all spores on your last pic belong to the Orbilia. In a wide sense this is O eucalypti, but I won't be sure, it is a difficult group.
