Green coated Dothideo
Adam Polhorský, 09-04-2016 17:15
Hello,

this fungus (0,9-1,2mm) was found abundantly on a dead fallen branches of Quercus sp., often hiding under bark. I am not aware of genus/species with such colouring- assume its not artificial.

Spores: hyaline dictyospores with 7 horizontal and 1 vertical septa
            (18) 20-30 (32) x 8-12µm

Thank you for your help,
Adam

Re : Green coated Dothideo
Hola Adam.

Saludos.
Salvador.

Hi Adam,

have a look at this publication on the genus mentioned by Salvador, containing a key, descriptions, and illustrations: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4312933/

Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : Green coated Dothideo
Thank you very much Salvador and Gernot! I read through the paper and  microscopicaly Thyronectria rhodochlora is a good fit, but host is different. Seems to be a difficult genus, Hermann Voglmayr will take a closer look.
