Neottiella ?
Bernard CLESSE,

Re : Neottiella ?
The carotenoid contents in the paraphyses show that this must be a Scutellinia. The paucity of LBs in the spores is exceptional and points to species such as S. minutella.

Good heavens,
I had completely the wrong genus !
Thank you very much Zotto ! I do not know anything about this species.

I think these species are quite rare and not easy, but quite different from the bulk of Scutellinia species.

Thank you very much Zotto for your drawings and photographs !
Scutellinia torrentis seemed more appropriate in spore size even if Schumacher cites 15,6-19,2x 7,8 -11,5 microns while I'm here 20-21x13-13,5
I also see Scutellinia superba in key Schumacher and who better spores corresponding in size. But the ornamentation does not seem appropriate.

Moyenne : 22,65x14
Q = 1,62
Bernard

Re : Neottiella ?
I have in my superba folder under cf. superba a collection with a high lipid content in the spores, therefore 100% another species than yours, and also Boudier's plate of hirtella with the same high lipid content.

Re : Neottiella ?
Hello Bernard,
I'd like to ask - was this collection identified later? If not, did you consider Cheilymenia (perhaps around C. rubra, maybe not fully mature)?
Thank you.
Viktorie
edit: The specimens I initially thought to be C. rubra eventually turned out to be S. torrentis. :-) The variability of ornamentation, even from sporeprint, is very large in this species.

Re : Neottiella ?
Hi Viktorie
I am not sure if a Cheilymenia in the present sense exists that possesses such distinct crystalline carotenoids in the paraphyses. Of course hyaline hairs are a strange feature in Scutellinia, but hair shape would fit.

Re : Neottiella ?
Hi Viktorie and thank you to Zotto for having already answered!
Personally, here is the name that I retained for this mushroom : Scutellinia cf. minutella / torrentis
Best regards,
Bernard
