Gernot FriebesHi,I found this one on a Picea abies branch. It lo
gain
This Scutellinia was collected on an old fallen trunk of Quercus robur, somewhat in dry situation, not near to the soil. The hairs 350-1200 x 35-60 are multifurcate with a very broad base. So I think it could be Scutellinia olivascens (hairs fide Schumacher: 150-960 x 18-48).
The attached Cooke's plate seems to fit well with my collection
What do you think?
Many thanks again
Again it is difficult to determine with certainty; I would eliminate S.crinita, but I would hesitate with S.pilati which is also close to S.olivascens. The ornamentation of spores S.olivascens is less dense than S.pilati. The place also seems to correspond best to S.pilati for S.olivascens (humid places ).
Amitiés.
Michel.
Hi Michel
I think, as you, it is not crinita by the type of hairs. It could be S. pilatii but the ascospores 21-27 x 13-16 (fide Schumacher), vs 20-22 x 12-15, seem to be somewhat different.
Thanks a lot
