Hello again,

This was found in Northern New Jersey, US on well rotted wood, possibly Fagus.  Tiny (.3 mm or smaller) roughened black spheres.  Most are black, but there are also some translucent/hyaline spheres.  Some are solitary, but many are in conjoined clusters.  Spores are lacrymoid, very large, brown, multiseptate (muriform?) wiith numerous longitudinal septa.  Spore size: 66 - 98?m by 24 - 30?m.  Spores are dark brown at the wide end and nearly hyaline at the narrow end.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re : unknown species

Perhaps could you look around the genus Berkleasmium ?

Re : unknown species
Alain,
Thank you!  Very helpful.  It looks to me like  Berkleasmium concinnum is a good match.
