Help on this pyreno
Elsa Sousa, 04-06-2017 02:16
Good evening,

I found this pyreno on falling branch but I'm sure about the tree.

Spores are not initially septate, I saw few irregulary septate (5?)

(28) 33.9 - 38.7 (40.5) × (11.9) 12 - 13 (14.1) µm

Would appreciate any help.
Thank you
Elsa

Re : Help on this pyreno
Hello Elsa.

This is a lichen; We can see the apothecia lecanorines. I do not know if you will be able to have a precise answer here, but maybe you could propose your photos on a site corresponding to your search.

Michel.

Re : Help on this pyreno
Bonsoir,

A confirmer
Cordialement
Paul

Re : Help on this pyreno
Thank you guys, sorry for the photos, but that's what I have by now.

There is a lichen here Michel, but I sampled just the black pyreno in the middle.

Like Paul said the micro of this lichen wouldn't be like this, I'm going to search about Pseudovalsa, thanks for the tip.

Re : Help on this pyreno
Hi all,
the substrate strongly looks after Betula. Here a few very old spores photos of Pseudovalsa lanciformis which I also favor.
Greetings Peter.

Re : Help on this pyreno
Thank you Peter, for the photo signaling.
In fact it's probably Betula, there were many there where I collected. Macro photos of Pseudovalsa lanciformis like these https://www.sites.google.com/site/funghiparadise/d---ascomycota-sordariomycetes/diaporthales---kugelpilze/pseudovalsaceae/pseudovalsa-lanciformis-fr-ces-de-not-1863 are very similar. Spores are within parameters and I see the vacuoles, so I think we reached the target.

Thank you all.
Regards
Elsa
