Edvin JohannesenI am very short on sordariomycete literature and struggle with this one.  Asci are very small - ca. 35 microns long, contain 8 small, broadly ellipsoid, bi-guttulate spores ca. 2x3 microns large.  Any suggestions?

Hi Edvin,
it might be a Camarops. If so, perithecia are immersed, you should make a vertical section including the underlying wood to see them.

Hi Jacques,

The stromata are superficial on the wood and the perithecia are within the stromata, not in the wood.  As you can see, each troma is only 1-2 mm in size.  So everything is very small!  Also the spores (2x3 my)
