Re : En Populus
Hi, Rafael,
I can't help you with a species name but I remember that similar fungi were discussed here: http://www.ascofrance.com/search_forum/36379
Not sure if there's any new insight on this matter!
Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : En Populus
PS: Looking at your microphotos again it does seem like some of the ascospores are fused in pairs (please try to confirm this if possible) so I think Synaptospora olandica could be a good working name, as was already suggested in the other thread (even though the ascospores of Ibai's collection apparently didn't fuse, as was also noted). Here's the original description: http://www.zobodat.at/pdf/Sydowia_54_0248-0255.pdf

Gracias Gernot
Synaptospora parece una buena direccion a mirar,
dentro del Asca parecen verse esporas fusionadas, esto no es seguro, pero de esporas libres fuera de Asca no veo ninguna fusionada

Re : En Populus
Hi there,
well, this is not the same as we discussed in the other thread, which is (maybe) a member of the genus Synaptospora.
What you have found here is something similar of which I think it belongs to Nitschkia. However, it should be sequenced to asure where it really belongs. At least I am sure its undescribed.
I give you two plates for comparison (Nitschkia sp. and Synaptospora olandica).
Regards,
Björn
