Geoglossum

Malcolm GreavesHello
This Geoglossum was found on wet moorland. With 7 septate spores c65 long and many alternate bulbous paraphyse it fits well with G uliginosum a rare species in the area.
Can anyone confirm or suggest an alternative.
Thanks
Mal

Re : Geoglossum
Hi Malcolm,

yes, the steem should be smooth and viscid in this species, rough and dry in G. vleugelianum.

Hello,
The paraphyses shown comes from G.uliginosum.
However, I think most paraphyses looked different.
Kind regards

Thanks both. The stem was fairly smooth and there were certainly many other shaped paraphyses but there were enough of this form to make me feel they justified the Id.
