Hypho with brown warted guttulate spores
Marc Detollenaere, 25-12-2020 15:25
Marc DetollenaereDear Forum,

Examining the crust Subulicystidium longisporum on the bark of Populus sp I found a hypho with brown conidiophores en brown warted conidiospores, subglobose with 6.5µ as longest diameter. Most of them had 1 or 2 large guttules.Any ideas?

Re : Hypho with brown warted guttulate spores
With some considerable hesitation, I would suggest that this may well be a Tomentella.  It is certainly a basdiomycete, with those clamps,  but I can say no more than that!

Thanks Simon for your answer .It also crossed my mind but I never found a Tomentella with large guttules in the spores.
