Hymenoscyphus conscriptus?
William Slosse, 03-01-2021 20:04
William SlosseGood evening everyone,

on 26/12/20 I found this asco on a dead branch of Salix alba in Veurne, Belgium.
I was thinking of Hymenoscyphus conscriptus.

J +
Spores (N = 9) :( 13.03) 14,17 (14.65) x (4.61) 4.84 (5.37)
Q = 2.60-3.37
Qav = 2.92

Can someone confirm my suspicion?

Kind regards, William

Re : Hymenoscyphus conscriptus?
Yes, this is H. conscriptus. A species which Dennis 1956 could not separate from H. calyculus which has larger spores with a high oil content.

Re : Hymenoscyphus conscriptus?
Thank you Hans-Otto,

Index Fungorum shows H. conscriptus as a synonym of H.calyculus.
This is not correct then?

Regards,
William
