It looks a bit like the anamorphic state of Postia ptychogaster (Polypore).

Hi Joseba,
Well at least I was right in thinking it was a polypore! Attractive fungus, probably not occurring in the UK. Postia ptychogaster, mostly seen as the anamorph, looks similar to your first photos but is a bit more creamy-coloured.
