Any thoughts on this lophiod-like thing growing on an old, decaying log in Illinois, USA. It appears the ascospores are breaking up into part-spores, something I am not familiar with in these loculos.Thank you,

Hi Andrew,
just a lead, it might be close to Lojkania separans (Ellis & Everhart) M.E. Barr but spores are somewhat different.
