In April 2015 I reported on this forum an Ophiostoma-like species growing on Hypoxylon petriniae (the sample had been kept in a damp chamber for two months):
Finally this species has got a proper name: Sporothrix hypoxyli W.J. Nel, Z.W. De Beer & T.A. Duong. It appeared to be a new species described and superbly illustrated in a contribution to Crous et al. 2021, "New and interesting fungi 4" published in FUSE7 (pag. 328-330) which can be downloaded at https://fuse-journal.org/images/Issues/Vol7Art13.pdf
The topic has been updated for future reference. Thanks to this forum field mycology and science met each other.
