Re : Orbilia on herbaceous stems (Galium?)
Could you please send me in higher resolution?
Sounds like O. subtrapeziformis, but the spores are not very acute above and the herbaceous substrate is unusual.

Re : Orbilia on herbaceous stems (Galium?)
Thanks! The problem is always to distinguish O. subtrapeziformis and O. obtusispora. O. trapeziformis is excluded by spoore length, so I tend to believe this is O. obtusispora.

Re : Orbilia on herbaceous stems (Galium?)
I tried my key and unequivocally arrive at O. obtusispora, except that this would be the first sample on a herb.
But: is the substrate correct? couldn't this be a very thin, very rotten woody twig?

Re : Orbilia on herbaceous stems (Galium?)
Hi Zotto
It was undoubtedly a herbaceous stem. The only doubt is whether it was a Galium or not.

Re : Orbilia on herbaceous stems (Galium?)
I cannot imagine that a rotten Galium stem looks like this but I may be wrong.

Re : Orbilia on herbaceous stems (Galium?)
There were many stems of Galium mollugo on the site and very close by, and although I cannot be sure that they belonged to this species, the substrate was certainly not woody at all.
