Anamorph on Carpinus bark

I failed to identify this anamorph, which grew plentifully on the bark of a living hornbeam (Carpinus betulus), up to several meters high. It may have been overgrowing very old remains of lichens, but I wasn't able to tell for sure.
Thank you for any ideas.
Best wishes,
Gernot

Best regards
