Lasiobelonium lanceolatum (?) - from the Italian Alps
Lothar Krieglsteiner, 02-08-2024 15:34
Lothar Krieglsteiner.. 23.6.24, thermophilous submediterranean habitat, on stems of Laserpitium siler (Siler montanum).
The haris are straight at the margin and undulate at flanks below, like in L. variegatum, but the spores are different (I measured them ca. 12-15(17)/1,8-2,3 µm) and more important: the paraphyses are strongly lanceolate. The asci bear croziers and are dirtily hemiamyloid.

Can my determination be confirmed?
Best regards, Lothar
P.S. I have another collection from the Algarve that seems to be the same.

The undulating hairs on the flanks point also to L. variegatum. L. lanceolatum is not easily separated from L. variegatum, I noticed broader, more protruding paraphyses. Whether there exists a species aggregate of variegatum (I omce found it on a grass) can hardly be clarified by morphology alone I fear. Perhaps on herbs it is not the same as on wood.
