Lachnum deflexum (Cistella deflexa)

I found this interesting ascomycete on incubated leaves from a freshwater stream. I believe it might be Lachnum deflexum. Could you confirm if my identification is correct?


Measurements:


Asci: 30–40 × 4.8–5.6 µm, IKI+


Spores: 6.8–8.6 × 2.1–2.6 µm

I can't confirm, I am not really sure what Lachnum deflexa is. But the photos are wonderful! But certainly this can't be a Lachnum? I would associate the hairs/excipulum/non-stipitate to Hyaloscyphaceae or Cistella / Urceolella et al.

I think I know C. deflexa well. A bit more curved hairs it had. The hairs should be completely hyaline also in your sample (in the micro they look a but brownish, maybe because of the iodine?). I am unaware of an existing sequence.

Thank you both for your answers.
It is true that the external hairs seem to have a light brown tinge in water, and the hairs are not curved. So this could be another Cistella sp.? I will send it for sequencing. Thank you Zotto.
