Yes, no doubt! May I get the collection data to include in my manuscript? You do not have scales to your photos?

Hi Zotto,

Thanks for your answer.

Domaine skiable Le Poli - 88400 Xonrupt (France), le 20/10/2025

Alt : 805m

GPS 48.074707, 6.914218

I have a sequence that totaly fits (100%) with the sequence OM808925.1 you registered on GENBANK on Cudoniella Sp. Could you tell us if it is the same species.

Both collections were gathered in the same area, approximately 4 km apart as the crow flies.

Re : Phaeohelotium parasulphuratum (Hymenoscyphus parasulphuratus)
sorry for being a bean counter - but with Large Latinum I am unable to accept Phaeohelotium (n) parasulphuratus (m). As the taxon is not validly published by now it is perhaps quite irrelevant to notice that ...

Hi Lothar,

I made a mistake of course, read P. parasulfuratum...

Thanks for this remark.

Re : Phaeohelotium parasulphuratus ?
This is superb! Of course it is the same species. I checked the coordinates in Google Earth, the place is 0.65 km NE of Le Poli and at 845 m, perhaps the coordinates are not as exact as they look?

The uploaded sequence conprises only ITS. Does your sequence include also parts of SSU and LSU?

Jaques Deny collected this species quite often, and 2x I was with him in that area.

Hi Zotto,

Was the prov. name H. parasazavae at the time of Jacques ?

Maybe yes. I kept it for a long time but finally did not like it much.
