Pseudomassaria-like on Cornus alba

These 0.5 mm diam. acervuli were breaking through the epidermis on twigs of Cornus alba still attached to the host plant. Superficially resembling Pseudomassaria corni, but I was not able to find asci or ascospores. All I could find was aseptate conidia, hyaline, with granular content, typically 25-30 x 10 micron. Does Pseudomassaria corni have an anamorph like this or the is the resemblance and host purely coincidental? Thanks for opinions.
