Hello, I found this very small (ca 0,5mm) yellow
strange ascomycete from Croatia

... collected in National Park Plitvicka jezera, side of the lake Prozansko jezero, at remnants of Cladium mariscus at (almost) water level. Apothecia are about 1-1,5 mm, turbinate, whitish-cream (thought of an imperfect fungus when collecting). As I saw under the binocular (habitual foto) the asci are strongly protuding above the hymenium. The spores are similar to Boudiera (globose, hyaline, about 27-30 µm long with a spiny-reticulate ornament of 4-7 µm height) but the light-coloured apothecia and the growth on plant material are deviating.
Who knows such a fungus? - I am somewhat disoriented ...
Regards, Lothar
... I am a bit confused as the loading of the digital fotos does not seem to work :-(
I try again later - for the moment perhaps the text is sufficient?

            Re:strange ascomycete from Croatia
                Hi Lothar,
compare with Oviascoma paludosum (it was orignially described as Lamprospora crechqueraultii var. paludosa Dennis). It's the only ascomycete that I know with such a combination of these striking characters.
Best wishes,
Gernot

Yes, Gernot is right. See the attached paper by Yao & Spooner (1996). A very unusual genus!

                Dear Gernot and Nicolas,
thank you very much for your help in determinating my peculiar fungus! Yes, Yao and Spooners despriction comes very close to my fungus and is very likely identical. What I find deviating is the spore ornament to be described as isolated spines - and the protuding asci not being mentioned. But this could be due to the investigation of exsciccata only.
Kind regards and thanks again!
Lothar
