Piet BORMANS

Est-ce que quelqu'un peut m'aider à déterminer cet ascomycéte ?

Récolté aujourd'hui sur une feuille morte de Yucca. Ascomata rond, très nombreux.

Diamètre  ascomata : 150 à 200 µm

Asci : 55 – 75 x 12 – 20 µm.

Spores :  17 – 21(23) x 6  - 8 µm., elles ne sont pas colorées  et il n'y a pas de cloisonnées

Merci d'avance de votre aide.

Hi Piet,
do you have a closeup-photo of the perithecia?

Peut-être bien Guignardia istriaca.

Re : Sur (on) Yucca

Thanks Maren and Alain for your response. The spores form  don't fits well with Guignardia istriaca. My knowledge is insufficient to determine this species. Maybe someone is interested, then I will send it to him.

Piet

Re : Sur (on) Yucca
This may be a member of the Glomerella cingulata aggregate (now considered as Colletotrichum species as we now only use one name per species). Are you sure the host plant is Yucca? It looks like Phormium tenax to me. There are two species of Colletotrichum reported from Phormium in Europe, C. kinghornii and C. phormii (see Damm et al. Studies in Mycology 73, 2012). Neither has a teleomorph linked to them, but I would not be surprised to see that one occurs.

Best wishes

Paul

Re : Sur (on) Yucca
Sorry, I'm a little too late. Thanks a lot for your reply. De host is Yucca sp. (Y. recurvifolia or Y. filamentosa ?).  I add a photo I made earlier.

A happy new year!
