naevioideae anamorph?
DirkW, 02-02-2015 00:41
DirkWsalut a tous,

this beautiful coloured anamorph (?) collection is a mystery to me. bright pink apothezia (left) and darker pink apothezia with a black margin (right), which close to black dots when dry. with exactly the same spores! 9 x 4 with one middle-septum ... no asci! looks like somewhat out of naevioideae?
found on decorticated hardwood.
who can help ...

best

Re : naevioideae anamorph?
Hi Dirk

the dark one looks to me lke the anamorph of Durella atrocyanea, though this seems to be a very difficult species with different anamorphs. Plasia is the anamorph genus. how large are these conidiomata?

Long conidia with several  septa are found in typical D. atrocyanea and those as you have I saw in my folder of "aurantionigra" (see below). The ascomata and conidiopmata cannot easily be distinguished.

You rose form might be an albino of this.

Re : naevioideae anamorph?
hi zotto,

thank you very much! i think thats it ... spores and macro exactly the same.
the dark ones measure 0,5-1mm, the rose ones are greater, 1-2mm and more horizontal.
the rose ones stay mysterious ... i will look for possible differences again.

best

Re : naevioideae anamorph?
