Otidea mirabilis 191210 06

I have always doubts to interpret the colours of Otidea, so I prefer your confirmation about this O. mirabilis. I think it is clearly bicolor, and slightly violet outside, but it was a little dried. It is from a Castanea sativa forest in Gran Canaria (Canary Islands).
Spores (11.2) 12.2 - 13.5 (14.2) x (5.3) 5.8 - 6.8 (7.1) µm; Q = (1.7) 1.9 - 2.2 (2.3); N = 46; Me = 12.9 x 6.3 µm ; Qe = 2.1.
Thank you.

Re : Otidea mirabilis 191210 06
Hi Miguel Ángel!
I am not sure as we have seen purple tones in a few young specimens of O. bufonia as well. To be sure, we would have to see a section of the medullary excipulum showing that there are no crystallized striate deposits covering hyphae nor sphaeroid crystal aggregates (visible in Melzer or water).
Cheers,
Ibai.

Hi Ibai
This is an old collection and I didn't take pictures of medullary excipulum, so I must rehidrated the material and find it.
Thank you.

It is easier to make sections with a sharp razor blade and check for crystals using Melzer. No need for rehydration -I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Ibai.

This afternoom I have see a lot of cristals in the medullar excipulum, similar to this "fingerprints" of some days ago (http://www.ascofrance.fr/search_forum/33386), bigger and more clear. Perhaps tomorrow I can sent some pictures.
Thank you.
Thank you.
