Fungi growing in the conifer forest (Picea schrenkiana) at an altitude of 2500 m, the northern Tien-Shan. Biotope and morphology is suitable, but spores are too small. I checked twice with fresh and dry instances.
Apothecia size d27-85 mm, h52-67 mm
Spores (16.3) 16.4 - 19 (20.1) × (11.2) 11.5 - 12.8 (13.1) µm Qe = 1.5

I do not recognize totally H. confusa on your plate, and the spores are a bit shorter for this species. The stipe seems to be rather long, with well-marked ridges.
In the other hand, I don't see any other species that can match!
A DNA analysis could help in this case.

Unfortunately there is no way to carry out DNA analysis in Kazakhstan. Because mycology is almost absent. And I can do something on their own only.

No, it cannot be H. confusa where the asci are without crozier.
This collection looks like Helvella hyperborea.

Oh yes, you're right Mario, I didn't pay attention to the ascus base on the micrographs...
After Landeros et al. (2012), H. hyperborea is phylogenetically identical to H. costifera (both based on type specimens). It's hard to recognize H. costifera on this plate! But I agree it looks like H. hyperborea by many characters includiing spore size and shape.

Yes, this fungus doesn't looks like typical H.costifera. But since phylogenetics says so... Although, more typical H.costifera are found lower in the same gorge. But I haven't found such one by myself, so I can't compare microscopically.

Well, as the types of H. hyperborea and H. costifera are conspecific.... Maybe we have an undescribed taxon, n'est-ce pas? :)
