Are you sure they are fully hydrated? Did you try to spray water or submerge it in water for some seconds if they get more open?
As you have enough it would be interesting to test the microscopy.

I immersed it in water for a while and they opened up a little bit but none much more than seen in the first picture. I did a little microscopy but didn't find any asci. The paraphyses are about 1 micrometer wide (4th image). The third image is of the outer hairs.

Indeed, the hairs are glassy and I assume a species of Urceolella. When you add 5% KOH the glassiness of the hairs and their entire outline must disappear.
Perhaps you succed in keeping them for some days in a moist box.

I managed to do the KOH test. I have 3% KOH and I heated it with a lighter for a while and looked at the hairs. They looked the same as in water.
Then I tried heating it a bit longer so that it bubbled for a few seconds. This time the glassiness had clearly gone and at 400X the hairs were almost invisible. Hopefully the fruitbodies start producing spores at some stage.

Great, exactly this is the right method, if the dissolution does not work. Species of Hyalopeziza do not loose glassiness even when boiling in KOH.
