Diaporthe or related? On dogwood twig.

I did not draw the black lines here - the fungus did!

The perithecia are quite deeply embedded, sometimes more than one, but few, in a group.  Spores very large, but variable in length; 35-65 x 8-10 microns, 1-septate, slightly constricted at the septum, filled with variably sized droplet, bearing ca. 4 microns long hyaline appendages at the poles.  Asci irregularly biseriate. Ascus apparatus ring-shaped. Spores measured an photographed in water. Phase contrast used in order to see the spore appendages.

Are we in Diaporthaceae (Diaporthe) or Gnomoniaceae (Pseudodiaporthe) or somewhere else?

Thanks in advance.

The dogwood species is Swida sericea (=Cornus stolonifera).

Hi Edvin
Compare with Diaporthe tessella which species has such large, appendaged spores and stromatic line. Nice drawing of spores and stroma in Wehmeyer 1933 (Diaporthe world monograph). A link to this book is given on www.verspreidingsatlas.nl/0740020 (see tab Artikelen).
