Bonjour tousI think this is the taxon on Vaccinium myrtillus without croziers.
Presumably the major problem is that there is no type material of Phillips' original collection on Acer pseudoplatanus? The Vaccinium host would appear to have some significance, and that whatever we call it is a different species from this collection on a Quercus leaf? http://www.ascofrance.com/uploads/forum_file/Lachnum-cf-rhytismatis-0001.pdf.
An interesting feature of this collection is that several of the asci showed distinct "Psilachnum bodies" as can be seen in two of these images.

I did wonder about that, and had looked at your images on AF and in Zotto's online database of images.
My main concern was that all these images show a distinctly stiped fungus and these were sessile (you can see the attachment "ring" in the 2nd image. To date I have only found these three apothecia but I have more leaves in the collection so will carefully check there. I have become very interested in the micro-fungi on Vaccinium myrtillus - a frequent plant close to where I live. For examplE I suspect there may well be an undescribed Micropeziza - http://www.ascofrance.com/search_forum/64691
I will see if I can find more apothecia of the Lachnum - I neglected to mention the spores were 5-5.6 x 1.3-1.6µm.

I've just checked Velenovsky's protologue and there are a couple of issues. He describes Lachnum microsporum as "stipite tenui longo" which underlines my point above. There is the additional problem that the name Lachnum microsporum Velen. is invalid, being a later homonym of L. microsporum Torrend and therefore his fungus needs a new name . . .

I did not study the type as I remember, otherwise you must have seen my drawing. I was used to see lackin croziers on Vaccinium, but the matter with the croziers in correlation with the substrate was problematic. In the end, there was little DNA work on this, and the matter is not published (marketa was thinking about a new genus for the group).
