here's another mystery.
These are about 0,2 mm wide.
The spores are about 6-9x3 and contain couple bigger guttules.
The asci are about 35-40x7-8 and paraphyses are a bit clavate about 2 micrometers wide, I saw no colouring with IKI.
No idea even of the genus: Marja

Looks like this Aivenia genus, but these are usually IKI+ (bb or rr).

that genus is totally unfamiliar for me. I'll check the amyloidity once again.
These as the greyish one were quide common on both wild and garden Rubus leaves here now after heavy rains and chilly weather for many weeks. There are still some species to study on them. Echinula asteridiaformis was not the most common on them. but that I managed to determine myself. and it was propably new for Finland.
Can someone help me to get the descriptions of the species of this mysterious Aivenia genus?

Du you know about Seppo's progress in his sequencing project? These would be suitable as they are plenty and rarely collected taxa.
Svrcek described 4 species in Aivenia. Look in my Aivenia folder, there is also one of these Svrcek diagnoses.

Seppo is interested in Hyaloscyhaceae. I have delivered him some fresh specimens for culture and sequenscing and will continue, when I find something interesting.
Seppo is at holidays, but he or Timo will come to university, when specimens arrive.

I suppose that Echinula would interest him much, and your Calycellina surely also. Aivenia is not clear whether it belongs in Naevioideae - it could as well be hyaloscyphaceous. These two groups are partly very similar, and some glassy-haired ones could belong in either family.

I sent some specimen yesterday to Seppo and both you mentioned went there among some others.
This Aivenia surely has an interesting margin, maybe something hairlike....
I'll try to get Ceska Mycol. articles copied next time I go to Natural history Museum, I suppose, that I may need them, because I have seen similar ealier, too. Just, that you do not allways be determined enough (=too busy with so many other species) to end to a determination. The more you see them, the more determined you become.

These Aivenias are in principle indeterminable. I don't know any of them with confidence, they are only a strange group.
