Hello forum, here's another Peziza close to exogelatinosa (not my collection). Found 24.IX.2017, on soil on a deeply cut forest path, 290 m asl, East Bohemia (Czech Rep.). Apothecia up to cca 3 cm diam, thick flesh, not fragile (more like cartilaginous). Thecium violet-brown when fresh, light brown few days later. Outside pale, greyish, smooth. Exuding small amount of colorless liquid when cut. Slightly unpleasant smell when drying (something like camembert).
Excipulum not clearly differentiated, mixed t. globulosa + narrow hyphae throughout, hyaline. Gel layer over both receptacle and hymenium.
Asci pleurorhynchous.
Paraphyses brownish, without refractive or colored guttules.
Sp. * 17,7-18,7 × 9,2-10 um, Q = 1,8-2 (ejected in water) , + 16,5-17,9(18,3) × 8,3-9,1 um (dead sporeprint in water).
Ornamentation of rounded warts/tubercles, 0,3-0,5 (wide and high), on poles bigger, up to 1-1,2 × 0,7 (w × h) um.
Is there any other Peziza besides exogelatinosa with gel layer on the receptacle? I'll be glad for any opinion.
Thank you in advance.
Viktorie
