Sclerotial on Carex or something
Marja Pennanen, 15-05-2010 11:18
Hello once again,

I found these on Carex or Scirpus, cant say which, because they were found on the border, where plants changed.
They are 3-5 mm wide and the stipe is 2-5 mm high.
They have got a sclerotia burried in the substrate, which is black outside and white inside sized 10-15x1mm.

It should be Carex more than Scirpus, isn't it ?

Hope my microscophy photos are a little better than ealier.
Spores are about 12-17x5-6 and asci 90-140x6-10, IKI+.
Paraphyses are 1-3 micrometers wide, wider at the top, not very much exceeding the asci.
Some Myriosclerotia perhaps?
