Though I do not know his anamorph and I have not studied the structure of the walls, can my fungus be Cosmospora diatrypicola?
These perithecia KOH purplish grew on the stromata of Diatrype sp. (probably D. stigma) but not on Diatrype bullata. The ascospores have verrucose walls.
Many thanks again
Enrique

Re : Cosmospora on Diatrype
Hi Enrique,
Jacques and I are working with the genera in Nectriaceae occuring on black pyrenomycetes, it's very difficult!
C. diatrypicola is a species undescribed at this moment and has ascomata with a flat disc. It is not the genus Cosmospora s. ss. but rather Stylonectria because of its fusarium-like anamorph, unfortunately, we have not molecular data for it. We have to cultivate it again.
There are several species growing on Diatrype as suggested by molecular data and microscopic characteristics.
I think that your fungus could be the genus Dialonectria.
Best regards,
Christian
