gros Hymenoscyphus sur Fallopia japonica
Bernard CLESSE, 04-06-2016 21:30

I suppose H. peruni which is on woody substrates but we had it on Fallopia too, near Trélévern by Brigitte in 2008.

Great !

Indeed Zotto, the base of this stem of Fallopia japonica was almost woody!

Thank you for your opinion !

Hello Zotto,

I assume this is the same case of H. peruni?
Large light yellow stipitate apothecia on Reynoutria stem.
Asci weakly IKI+b (in diluted Lugol!), H+. Paraphyses VB+ 3refr.
Long and slightly undulating hyphae on the surface on / below margin, VB+.

Would you know whether the asci in type of H. peruni are amyloid or not? Svrcek (1985) did not write anything about amyloidity and in the 1989 paper he cited two recent colls., one weakly amyloid, the other inamyloid.

I think so. Was it collected in sping/summer? I did not study the type of H. peruni, but this species may be amyloid (more frequent I think) or inamyloid. This must not mean that they are different species.

Oh, I forgot to write it - leg. 30.V.2021, Olomouc, Cernovirske slatiniste, Reynoutria stand in a clearing under power line.
Thank you for both confirmations.
