Åge OterhalsI found this pyrenomycetous fungi in mountain area

this reminds me of a Cucurbitaria (or related genus)

C.berberidis is not and I have no description of this other one.
Maybe somebody has this paper
Smyk LV (1970) New and rare fungal species of genus Cucurbitaria
Gray in Ukraininan SSR. News Non-vasc Plant Syst 7:206–208

this is Capronia nigerrima.

How are perithecias ? hamathecium ? asci ? ...
Ascospores remind the genus Capronia as said Björn. it's possible. But we need a more complete description.
Cucurbitaria, I don't think. Let's wait...

I'll try, if I can find a sample from April. Interestingly, a few years ago I also found Capronia and I was struggling with identification. I did not remember and connected.

just adding the description of Cucurbitaria tamaricina. Also, this thread might be related: http://ascofrance.com/search_forum/33523
