C'est l'époque de Rutstroemia bolaris , sur brindilles de charme.

Ah, and that in February! You must do the following: check the excipulum, it should have isodiametric cells.

Also check the wood anatomy (cross break), it should be Carpinus.

In this case it is Rutstroemia bolaris, a spring species. The multiguttulate spores are characteristic, unlke e.g. R. firma.

Belles photos micro. L(espèce n'est pas très connue (outre le fait qu'elle a été confondue, par exemple dans le BK) en rasion de sa période de poussée et souvent il faut écarter les feuilles pour trouver les brindilles qui portent les apothécies.


Mais peut être n'est elle pas si rare ? Carpinus, il est vrai, n'est pasprésent partout.

Merci pour tes explications Michel ! J'ai oublié de te confirmer que c'est bien une récolte toute récente (08/02/2019) et que dans la forêt de ravin où je l'ai trouvé il y avait effectivement des charmes. Récolte apparemment précoce mais il est vrai qu'on a un redoux particulièrement important depuis plus d'une semaine.

Yes, B&K confounded it, i.e., they figured under thie correct name a microdrawing, but used a macrophoto of another sample from the wider surrounding which was probably Phaeohelotium epiphyllum.
