I would ask for help in identifying this Hypoxylon.
I'm not sure about the substrate but it was probably wood Fraxinus?
Due to the color of the extract in Koh, I can not match any species.
Wondering, a very capricious reaction to iodine. After applying only Lugol, I found only a few Ascus on which a blue color occurred. Only after the pre-treatment in KOH, the reaction was clearly visible.
regards
Mirek

Re : Hypoxylon sp.?
I probably were overworked and had problems with logical thinking?
I think that the features match Hypoxylon rubiginosum.
Someone will confirm?

Hi Ethan.
Sometimes even quite frequent species make problems identifying and especially for people who are just starting to study such a kind, I unfortunately belong to such.
All the more I am glad that I managed to correctly determine the species.
She also helped me a second collection which I studied yesterday. Her qualities were 100% compatible with the descriptions of this species. Despite the small differences, I decided it was the same species.
Best wishes and thank you.
