I have this which I find only on the dead leaves of Banksia spinulosa in my local coastal sand dunes, SE Victoria, Australia.
Can I please get some help with an ID; is one of the Phaeohelotium menthae group?
Asci with very faint Lugol's +ve of the pore, Cr-ve
Spores with guttules but no septa seen.
Spore sizes: 22.5-29.5 x 5.1-6.7um
many thanks
Peter

Re : Hymenoscyphus menthae?? on Banksia leaves
Interesting species! In my database I have nothing on Banksia with such a spore size. But It seems uncertain if this fungus is specific.
H. menthae is clearly excluded because of the large LBs in the spores. H. menthae has also distinctly smaller, less acute spores.
The IKI reaction is not faint but restricted to the lower part o the narrow ring. Cr-ve means without croziers?
The resolution of your pics is a bit low, could you please send them by email?
