Some Hypocreales (e.g. Sphaerostilbella) form such penicillium-like anamorphs.

Re : Hyphomycete on Trichoglossum
Hello Bernhard and Malcolm,
"Some Hypocreales (e.g. Sphaerostilbella) form such penicillium-like anamorphs"
But likely not Trichoglossum.
I think it is mould. The common Geoglossum and Tricholgossum mould is Hypomyces papulasporae anamorph, but why should not Penicililum grow on it? Penicillium grows on (nearly?) every fungus or better on (nearly?) every organic substrate. A friend of mine knows a bit more about such "moulds" and once said me that the most common mould on fungi in nature is Penicillium brevicompactum. I do not have the skills to decide if this could be the fungus Malcolm showed.
Yours, Lothar

Re : Hyphomycete on Trichoglossum
I agree with Lothar it is simply a saprophyte that grows on Trichoglossum.
Penicillium sp.
