Monodictys?
Gernot Friebes,

could this be a Monodictys? It grew on the inner surface of a piece of bark. The conidia are 23-28 µm long, 16-19 µm wide and have a 20-32 µm long and 6-8 µm wide appendage. The upper third is black, the conidia are muriform. I don't find a description of a fitting species.
Best wishes and thanks in advance,
Gernot

Re:Monodictys?
very strange, I know Monodictys only with entirely brown muriform conidia.

Re:Monodictys?
Hi Zotto,
but there are species such as Monodictys bicolorata (have a look at Mycotaxon 64, 1997; Page 189) with two-coloured conidia, so I think it's possible that my find is a Monodictys too.
Best wishes,
Gernot

Re:Monodictys?
Yes, that looks somewhat similar. I had also such cushions, more yellow, with totally different conidia (muriform, rough, olive-brown) which I could not identify.
There is also Acrodictys which I think I had once.

Re:Monodictys?
Hi Gernot,
your fungus resembles to Monodictys melanopa (Ach. ex Dawson Turner) M.B. Ellis but the conidia are 25-47 x 18-27 µm.
Acrodictys genus possess brown to black conidiophores
All the best

Re:Monodictys?
Hi Christian,
I wasn't sure about M. melanopa because of the small conidia and the very conspicuous appendages but you are right, other than that it fits very well. Thanks!

Re:Monodictys?
Hi Zotto,
how are septate the conidia of your collection? two species are possible according to size of the conidia: A. fulliginosa or A. sacchari.
